Preclose GO! strives to make working your transaction as easy as possible! One way you can save time is by leverage date calculations in your templates AND within a transaction.
Counting days on the calendar to determine a deadline can be a hassle and error-prone. With date calculations, you can enter a rule and it will automatically calculate the deadline for you.
Rules can be based on:
- # of days
- calendar vs business days
- automatically excludes holidays
Using Date Rules with a Template
When creating your template, use the "Use Date Rule" option in blue, and the window to setup your date calculation rule will appear.
Next, enter the date rule and add to your template.
It will display on your template, and next time you "Apply a Template" to your transaction you'll be able to leverage the power of date calculations!
Using Date Rules within an individual transaction
You are also able to apply a date rule within a transaction as well. This works well if you have not applied a date rule and need to calculate it quickly for one-off dates in a transaction. (If you find yourself adding date rules to many dates, you need to add them to your template to save time.)
From here, select the # of business or calendar days before or after a certain set date (example: ratification date). You can select these specifics based your contract. GO! will then automatically calculate your new date!
